Candystand: Coming to a PSP Near You!

We've got awesome games on the web. We've got great apps on the iPhone. What are we conquering next? That's right, Sony's PlayStation Portable. 

We'll be announcing which popular Candystand title will be debuting on the PSP via download soon, but in the meantime, check out Gamasutra's feature on Sony PSP Minis, featuring none other than Candystand prez Scott Tannen.

"We weren't really sure what to expect when we started working with Sony but they've more than exceeded any reasonable expectations. They've been extremely supportive at all levels of the process."

Look for more news on our PSP Mini debut in the coming weeks. We can't wait to show you what we've been working on.

Tennis Stars Cup has launched! Check out the awesome 3D tennis game and try to win the new trophy!

Sports fans, heads up! Coming later this week to Candystand.com is Tennis Stars Cup, a Shockwave game developed by the guys at Three Melons. The game features three modes (Warm-Up, Tournament and Challenges), gesture-based controls and (like all of the new games on Candystand.com) brand-new Trophies for you to earn, which means you can show off your matchpoint skills to your friends (if you're connected via Facebook - find out how!) and the rest of the Candystand players.

Today we're opening up our merchandise Candystand Shop to the public so you can show everyone how much you love our free online games! We have dozens of tees and tanks featuring beloved Candystand Critters, hit games Billiards, Electric Box, Vector Tower Defense and Momma's Diner, plus a few mousepads and mugs thrown in for good measure.

Match-Two Game Preview: Cocoa Match

Our brand new game, Cocoa Match, is ready to launch tomorrow morning, but we thought we'd give you a taste before it hits!

Cocoa Match is a match-two game where you'll need to clear each board by matching two runes of the same shape/color or the same number (more points are awarded for number matches). You can also earn medallions on each board by building up a combo streak of matches -- if you run out of matching tiles and need to click the idol to get new ones, you'll lose that streak.

Three spells will help you along the way - Shuffle, Extra Time and Reveal can provide the edge you need to complete each level, but they require mana to use (you'll earn one of three types of mana in each of the three puzzles - Fire for Jaguar, Air for Owl and Water for Snake). The spells can also be upgraded through the Magic Shop using coins gained during play.

The Artists of Dance Mania

I am a big fan of the Rhythm game genre and of course a music game is nothing without the music. For Candystand's latest rhythm game, we were able to get what I consider to be an amazing mix of music. We taped some great artists for Dance Mania, so great in fact that we think you should hear more of their music.
